The Association of Independent Institutions has announced that the 2010 Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Post-Season Women's Basketball Tournament will be held February 26th and 27th at IU Northwest's Savannah Center Gymnasium in Gary, IN.

The tournament will feature schools from across the nation including Fisk (TN) Indiana-Northwest (IN) Johnson & Wales (CO), Marygrove (MI) Ohio Dominican (OH), Philander Smith (AR), Southwestern (AZ) and Walla Walla (WA.)  
 
The 2010 A.I.I. tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA Division II National Tournament to be held March 10-16 in Sioux City, IA. After hearing of the selection of IU Northwest as the site of the tournament; Ryan Shelton, IU Northwest Head Women's Basketball Coach commented, "We are honored to have been selected as the 2010 site. "This is an tremendous opportunity for all of the schools in the A.I.I. and look forward to hosting an exciting weekend of basketball."
