Vicky Campos is in her first season with the Lady RedHawks. She's our women's basketball player of the week.

 
Where did you grow up?

Vicky Campos: Hammond

 
When did you start playing sports?

VC: I started playing in third grade.

When did you first play organized basketball?

I started playing in elementary school in fifth grade.

 
What separates basketball from other sports?

I guess I enjoy it better.

 
What makes a great basketball team?

Working together

 
Do the RedHawks have that this year?

I think so.

 
What's the highlight of this season so far?

Starting my first game on January 26 and scoring the most points I've ever had.

 
Have there been any lowlights for you?

Not playing against Joseph and Purdue Calumet.

 
What's your major?

Criminal Justice

 
Why criminal justice?

I want to learn about justice and how it works.

 
What are some of your hobbies?

I like to draw every once in awhile.

 
What do you do when you hang out with friends?

We play some video games or sports.

 
Do you have a favorite game?

Call of Duty: World at War

 
Do you have any advice for future RedHawks basketball players?

Keep working hard and practice and eventually your talent will show.
