The Redhawks great effort came up short with their second meeting against Indiana Tech in a 94-89 loss. The size advantage of Indiana Tech hurt the Redhawks throughout the game as they forced the ball inside to their front-court players. The Redhawks battled the taller front-line and led most of the first half, but Indiana Tech took a 41-39 lead at the half.

The second half was close throughout with the lead changing hands numerous times. Every time Indiana Tech would appear to pull away the Redhawks would answer. Down 3 with less than a minute left, the Redhawks were forced to foul. Indiana Tech sunk both free throws securing the victory.

Pressing the entire game, Indiana Tech could only force 12 turnovers by the Redhawks. The Redhawks forced Indiana Tech into 21 turnovers. James Beard and Lawrence Thurmond did a good job of bringing the ball up the court and initiating the offense. Although the Warriors got 14 offensive rebounds, Nick Panousis, Aaron Osorio, and Telly Panousis gave a great effort battling the taller Warriors inside the paint. Jesse Howell had one of his best all-round games as a Redhawk with 29 points and 7 rebounds.

But despite the loss, the night belonged to senior guard Pete Trgovich. Pete was injured the first time the two teams met. Pete set the Indiana University Northwest single game scoring record of 47 points Monday night. He broke his own record of 46 points which was set earlier in the year. Pete shot 13-27 from the field, also making 5 3-pointers. He was 16-18 from the foul line. Pete also had 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and 2 steals.
