Monahan, Wilson, Roach lead RedHawks to 12th Win
Gary, Ind. – No. 13 IU Northwest used decisive second and third quarters to separate from the visiting Governors State Jaguars 69-38 at the Savannah Center on Thursday evening. The RedHawks (12-3) led by just three after the first quarter, however used a 20-9 second period and a 23-10 third period to break the game open and cruise to their 12th win.
IUN's Nicki Monahan tied Governors State Zaporia Smith for game high honors with 14 points while Weslee Wilson added 10 points in her first career start for the RedHawks. Grayce Roach added 9 points for IUN. IU Northwest improved to a best ever start 12-3 through its' first 15 games.
RedHawks freshmen Jocelyn Colburn and Jayla Crump both notched career highs for the RedHawks with 6 and 5 points respectively.
IUN freshman guard Erin Mullaney notched her first career field goal for the RedHawks.
In all, 12 players scored for IU Northwest.

IUN's reserves outscored the Governors State bench 29-8.
We played better in the middle quarters and felt that we really good energy off the bench from several people including Downs, Maddie Bednarz, Crump, and Colburn. It was a good team win at home to get everyone involved," said IUN Head Coach Ryan Shelton.
The RedHawks will travel to Racine, Wisconsin this Monday, December 21 to face the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers in an exhibition contest. The game tips at 5 p.m. CT.
