The IU Northwest RedHawks could not close Andrews University out in regulation and survived an overtime score before defeating the Cardinals, 81-78, in double overtime Wednesday night. The game was highly contested from the start with 10 ties and 16 lead changes.
John Mosser and Ronald Alexander both finished the game with a double double in points and rebounds. Alexander scored 13 points while pulling down 10 rebounds while Mosser chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Pennington led the RedHawks in scoring with 20 points while Jovan Jackson added 14. With the win, the RedHawks tied a regular season win total with 18.
The RedHawks (18-10) will travel to Lincoln, Ill. this Saturday for their final road contest and A.I.I. conference game they take on the Lincoln Christian Red Lions.
