The RedHawks traveled to Mishawaka, Indiana this past Friday to compete in the Bethel Invitational.  Junior Angela Klukken once again lead the women's team.  Klukken placed 102nd overall.


She set a personal best in the 5k, covering the course in a time of 22:00.  Teammate Caridad Ramos was the second finisher for the RedHawks.  Ramos placed 113th overall, finishing in a time of 23:17.  Junior Emily Morrison ran a personal best for a 5k.  Her time was 23:43.  Morrison placed 114th overall.  Following closely behind were teammates Carrie Bell and Lydia Sadlowski.  Bell placed 118th in a time of 26:59.  Sadlowski paced 119th in a time of 29:01.


The men's team was once again led by Junior Miguel Tapia.  Tapia palced 81st overall in a time of 29:53.  Following closely behind was teammate Brent Dunn. Dunn placed 83rd overall in a time of 29:38.  Josh Novak covered the 8k course in a time of 30:55, good for 92nd place.  Sophomore Michael Phillips ran a personal best for an 8k, finishing in a time of 32:16.  Phillips placed 94th overall.  Senior Carlos Luna followed behind, running a time of 33:22.  Tyler Fricke also competed for the RedHawks.  Fricke ran a time of 37:18.


The RedHawks will be back in action on Saturday, October 21st when they travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to compete in the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge.
