Sara Keilman - Head Coach - 1st Season
Just four days after giving birth to her first daughter, Coach Keilman was hired to lead the 2011 Redhawks Volleyball Team. Her dedication, knowledge of the game, and determination to win has enabled her to build a new program full of high expectations. She has set the bar high not only for her players but for herself as well, to succeed at the highest level.
 
Sara Keilman was raised in Hammond, Indiana where she was a three sport athlete at Morton High School. She graduated in 2005 leaving behind eight school records in volleyball, three sectional titles and numerous volleyball, basketball, and tennis awards, including Female Athlete of the Year. She played for Dunes Volleyball Club for seven years. Her junior and senior years she played for Dunes Elite teams 17 Teal and 18 Black, where she signed to play for NCAA Division II Northern Michigan University. There she gained a starting spot toward her end of her freshman season as a middle hitter for the Wildcats. After one season of playing, she transferred back home to Purdue University Calumet. There she started for the Peregrines Women's Basketball team for four years. Once again, she gained recognition for her athletics at the NAIA level. She graduated in May of 2010 with a 3.4 GPA from the School of Management with a Bachelor of Science for Marketing, and from the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising. She continues her education at Purdue University Calumet working towards a Masters Degree in Communications.
 

Coach Keilman has been coaching volleyball since 2006. She coached Scott Middle School's Eighth grade for one season and Dunes Volleyball Club local teams for five seasons.

Larry Babcock - Associate Head Coach - 1st Season
Larry Babcock enters his first season at Indiana University Northwest. Larry comes to Indiana Northwest with a wide range of knowledge in the game of volleyball. Larry played volleyball at Wheeler High School, in Valparaiso, IN. He was one of a handful of men in the area to play men's volleyball, as it is not a sanctioned sport in Indiana and few schools have it. He was a middle hitter for the Bearcats from 1996-2000.
 
Larry went on to coach men's volleyball at Morgan Twp. HS, before low numbers caused them to lose a JV program.
 

Coach Babcock also coaches for the Dunes Volleyball Club in Rolling Prairie, IN.

Besides volleyball, Larry is the Head Women's Softball coach at South Suburban College in South Holland, IL.
 
Prior to his coaching, Larry has officiated sports the last 18 years at various levels of football, basketball, baseball, and softball.
 
He currently referees NCAA Division III football in the CCIW, NAC, and Mid-West Conferences. He also officiates NAIA basketball in the CCAC.
 
In baseball he umpire professional baseball in the Northern League of Professional Baseball, and NCAA Baseball at the Division I, II, and III levels.
 
He also umpired collegiate softball for 6 years working mostly Division 1 in the Missouri Valley, Mid-Continent Conference (Now Summit League), C-USA, Big East, MAC, Horizon, and non-conference Big Ten.
 

Larry is a graduate of Wheeler HS in Indiana, where he played varsity volleyball, basketball, baseball, and golf.
