Nina got off to a "fast" start to her college career starting 29 of 32 games as a freshman. In 2008-2009 she was the RedHawks' second leading scorer at 8.9 points per game and led the team in both (4.0) assists and steals (3.1). She ranked 17th and 36th in the nation (NAIA II) respectively in those categories. Wills earned A.I.I. Player of the Week honors for her 28-point, 8 rebound, 4 assist, 4 steal performance in a win over Marygrove on 2/21/2009. Earlier in the season Nina posted 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals vs. Mich.-Dearborn on 11/24/2009. Wills was named to the 2009 A.I.I. All-Conference Team and was earned A.I.I. Conference Player of the Week. As a prep Nina was a three-time team most valuable player, all-conference and all-sectional performer at Bishop Noll Inst. and was selected to the 2008 Indiana East-West game.
