Amanda is in her first year with the Lady RedHawks. As a senior at River Forest, Pennington helped guide River Forest High School to a successful season and the class 3A sectional championship game. Pennington posted 8 points and 8 rebounds in a close 49-45 sectional semi-final win over Bishop Noll Institute. The 2008-2009 season and run to the sectional finals was one of the most successful teams in River Forest's history. Amanda was a varsity letterman in both volleyball and basketball while at River Forest. "Amanda will add size and depth to both forward positions. "Amanda understands the game extremely well, She will provide versatility in the front court." Amanda is majoring in secondary education.
