One of the region's most dangerous outside threats, Brianne "Bri" Wischman joins the RedHawks for 2010. As one of top three-point shooters in northwest Indiana each of the past two years, Bri will bring her game to IU Northwest. Wischman ranked as one of the area's top scorers averaged 13.4 points per game over her junior and senior seasons and connected on 43 threes in her final season with Portage. Despite being just 5'4" Wischman has learned to move without the basketball and has gained the confidence to attack the basketball leading to a deeper offensive arsenal. As a senior, Wischman notched a career-high 27 points including six, 3-point field goals and handed out four assists vs. Michigan City on Jan. 26, 2010. Bri "lit-up" Andrean to the tune of 5 threes in a 21 point, 6 rebound performance. She scored 19 against conference rival Crown Point including 13-14 from the line. Bri was selected to the All-DAC and All-Area Teams each of her final two seasons with the Indians. Bri is majoring in elementary education.
