Ashley a letter winner in 2008-2009, returns for her third and final season season with the RedHawks. A dislocated shoulder ended Ashley's season in 2009 after just 4 games. Ashley's athleticism, length and intelligence on the court make her an integral component of Coach Shelton's recipe for success. Despite missing nearly all of last season Michalski has made a considerable impact since arriving at midway through the 2008-09 season. From that moment, the team reeled off nine consecutive wins after she joined the team midway through the season and finished the year 13-2 when she was in the lineup. The 6'2" Michalski is known as one of toughest RedHawk players and possesses great athleticism in the post. Ashley ranked first on the team in field-goal percentage (57%), fourth in points per game (7.5), second in rebounds (6.5) and second in blocks (1.4) per game. On Jan. 13, 2009 vs. Kuyper College Michalski recorded a career-high 16 points and chipped in 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks. She was a Dean's List student in 2009. As a prep Michalski starred in basketball and softball while at Lake Central High School. Her senior year she was named team mvp and female athlete of the year. Ashley is majoring in criminal justice.
