After a long series of coming up short, the Indiana University Northwest volleyball team finished on top against Robert Morris-Peoria at the Marygrove Invitational in Detroit Michigan.
The tournament began with the hosting team, the Marygrove Mustangs. The number six team in the conference took the first match after a series of missed attacks by the Redhawks. But a determined to win Redhawks was not letting those errors stop them. Kristen Kenney started the match with a 6-2 lead against the Mustangs. After numerous score changes and ties, the Mustangs took the lead over at 20-21. Zoey Huizenga would tie it back up at 22. A Marygrove kill and block would finish the match in favor of Marygrove. The third and final match looked to be going the Redhawks way. The Mustangs were making errors, and nothing was getting past middle hitter, Tabitha Newcomb.
